One of Louisville's premier a cappella singing groups, The Thoroughbredsare turning 70 with "A Road Show To Remember!" featuring a musical tour of great American cities. Plus, to kick off the holiday season, there will be the traditional retelling of the Christmas story featuring our 70th Anniversary Thoroughbred Alumni chorus! Tickets are $20 regular admission, $10 student admission, with both afternoon (1:30pm) and evening (7:30pm) performances. The Thoroughbreds would like to invite you to Jim Miller Hall (formerly Thoroughbred Hall) in J'town to be our guest for an evening of harmony and song. We are an all-male chorus singing 4-part a cappella music in the Barbershop harmony style. We sing both traditional and contemporary Barbershop arrangements, as well as some general a cappela pieces. We also offer opportunities for quarteting, small ensembles, tag singing, fellowship and fun. If you like 4-part harmony or have been wanting to get back into singing, then come out and see us!
The Thoroughbreds, a Barbershop Chorus, are looking for male singers who love 4-part a cappella singing. We are holding an open audution on Feburary 17th from 9 am to 3 pm at Chenoweth Park Baptist Church. Reserved time slots are available from 9 am to noon, and first come first served openings from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Auditions will consist of a 1 to 2 minute a cappella solo, and other basic musical skills assessments. More information will be sent after registering.

the Thoroughbreds 69th Annual Holiday Spectacular! Our show included hits from Broadway shows, such as Guys and Dolls, Rent, Phantom of the Opera, Camelot, the Scarlet Pimpernell and more! The show also featured the show stoppingly hilarious Hot Air Baffoons and finished with a variety of Christmas music to kick off the Holiday Season.
