Auditions
Auditions for full membership are held on a rolling basis, after you've attended a few rehearsals.
Who We Are
The Thoroughbreds are a men's barbershop harmony chorus based in Louisville, Kentucky. Established in 1943, The Thoroughbreds are seven-time International Chorus Contest (ICC) champions, and have produced dozens of individual quartet champions, including the Blue Grass Student Union, Second Edition, Interstate Rivals and Forefront.
The chorus meets for rehearsals every Monday night at 7:00P.M in Jim Miller Hall. All rehearsals are free and open to the public, and we'd love for you to join us on the risers and lend us your voice, even just for a few tags. If you're interested in joining The Thoroughbreds as a member, we hold rolling auditions for new singers every single week.
